"El autobús"

Frida Kahlo (i) - Oil (i) - Surrealism (i)
The Bus is a painting by Frida Kahlo, which is an oil canvas. This painting dates back to the year 1929 and measures 10 by 22 inches. Looking at the painting, there is a woman holding a shopping basket, a man who seems to be in his blue work overalls, a mother breastfeeding her baby, a little boy looking around and a business-like man holding a bag of money in his hand. This painting is quite colourful and one can see a number of people sitting down next to each other on a bench. The last person in the painting is a young lady, which many people think represents Frida herself as there is some resemblance with the painter in reality. This painting is also a depiction of the bus accident which happened in 1925 and changed her life forever.
