"Morning in a Pine Forest"

Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin (i) - Oil On Canvas (i) - 139 x 213 cm - 1889 - Realism (i)
Morning in a Pine Forest depicts a scene in the middle of a forest, evergreen trees spread across and a mother bear accompanies her playful cubs. the morning light touches the tops of the trees, but the ground seems cooling. Two cubs have climbed on a broken tree and the mother is beside them, supervising, while another is a bit distant, distracted, preferring solitude he looks towards the descending fog. This painting does not seem real, but more like it was taken out of a storybook or a magical place, the bears don't seem scary, Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin depicts them not as ferocious forest animals but rather as pets, with a loving nature, enjoying their playtime in the forest. Initially, the painting consisted of only the forest, it was Konstantin Savitsky, the Russian Realist painter, who added the bears to the frame. It was presented with both their names but Savitsky withdrew his name eventually.
