"La noche"

Durante la mayor parte de su vida creativa, Max Bechmann (artista expresionista alemán) pintó cuadros sobre temas sociales, históricos y militares. El hito es la pintura "La noche", que representa el ataque de los bandidos a la familia. Los rostros terribles de las personas y sus poses antinaturales hacen que el público se estremezca de horror. Es una técnica muy interesante en la que se escribió la obra y la paleta de colores. Se trata principalmente de tintas blancas y negras, debido a su contraste se crea una sensación de nitidez y aspereza. En estilo, la imagen recuerda algo a Cézanne: las mismas líneas verticales, una forma similar de escritura. Los críticos suelen comparar “La noche” con “Transnonain Street, 1834” de Honore Daumier y “Guernica” de Pablo Picasso.
Tres hombres parecen invadir una habitación pequeña y abarrotada, donde aterrorizan la escena. A la izquierda, uno de los intrusos cuelga a un hombre y otro le tuerce el brazo. Una mujer, aparentemente la esposa del hombre, está atada después de haber sido violada. A la derecha, el niño está a punto de ser llevado por uno de los intrusos.
El tema es instantáneamente caótico, amplificado por el uso del color y la forma por parte del artista. La pintura se limita solo a tonos marrones y tonos rojos vibrantes. Además, Beckmann dominó una forma comúnmente asociada con los artistas del fauvismo de principios del siglo XX, como Henri Matisse: la pintura es compositivamente plana y estilizada, sin implementaciones de profundidad. Por ejemplo, aunque la mujer aparece al frente de la pieza, está atada a la entrada trasera de la habitación. El artista se desvió de las pinturas vanguardistas convencionales, no representativas, como el cubismo y el dadaísmo. Las interrupciones esporádicas de rojo vibrante y la angularidad intrusiva de la pintura sirven para sorprender al espectador y animar la escena con caos y energía.
Aquí se juega una escena creíble y repugnante del triunfo del mal. Se trata de nuevo de una predicción de hechos históricos, que serán los antihéroes de quien "gusta la cerveza con música" canta "Alemania, Alemania sobre todo". Y aunque la imagen está escrita sobre el tema de un incidente real: los ataques de los gánsteres a la familia, crea asociaciones de un amplio plan social e histórico. No es de extrañar por qué se creó esta obra en 1918-1919 cuando Alemania entra en un período muy especial de su historia. La pintura se encuentra actualmente en la Colección de Arte de Renania-Westfalia en Düsseldorf.
Las pinturas de vanguardia inusuales y elegantes del artista Max Beckman (1884-1950) son muy relevantes en nuestro tiempo. Brillantes, con contornos claros, un poco caricaturescos, encajan perfectamente en la moda del siglo XXI. Pero en el momento en que Beckman trabajaba, su arte se llamaba "degenerativo", lo que era muy ofensivo. El arte degenerado es un término del vocabulario nazi. Con este término se definió el arte de Bechmann. Su arte era peligroso para la pura raza aria. Anti-alemán, anti-clásico, vanguardista y judío-bolchevique en una botella. El propio Hitler criticó ese arte en su libro.
