"Vista dell'Isola di Sora"
Joseph Pierre Xavier Bidauld - Olio su tela - 113 x 144 cm - 1793 - (Musée du Louvre (Parigi, Francia)

“Indulge in the luxury of having your own portrait painted on canvas”
Since the beginning of time portraits have been popular among people. For the first few thousand years at least, portraits, whether drawn, painted, or sculpted, were mostly reserved for those deemed important enough to be honored with a work of art bearing their likeness. Portrait painting describes not only physical features but more importantly power and status.
