The Fall of the Damned is a massive Baroque oil painting. It depicts the army of Satan after their battle with archangel Michael, he throws them into the depths of hell. Peter Paul Rubens illustrates the battle between good and evil from the Book of Revelations which is the final book in most Christian traditions.

The sketch of the painting is assumed to be done by a studio assistant, and completed with oil colour by Reubens. In 1959, the painting was attacked by a vandal with acid but it survived and was eventually restored.
